SE Lions were given the opportunity to raise funds for Air Ambulance at the Bluebell Walk Arlington. The weather was good and the bluebells and wood anemones had burst into bloom to make a splendid showing. People responded to this spring opportunity in large numbers and we had the pleasure of serving over 4000 people over the two days. Read more
The Tenterden Lions Club has donated £1,000 to the Kent & East Sussex Railway’s Heritage Buildings Fund to help it complete vital repairs to the town’s iconic station building and signal box. Read more
On Sunday, 21st April, it was wonderful to see so many people in East Grinstead High Street enjoying the Vintage Bus Running Day. At the event, over 25 classic buses gave visitors a free ride along many of the old routes that used to pass through East Grinstead. Read more

2022 was the busiest year to date in Air Ambulance Kent Surrey and Sussex (KSS) 35-year history as they were called to 3,224 missions and helped provide life-saving care to 1,928 patients experiencing the worst moments of their lives, an eight percent increase on the previous year. Of these the most common callout was to road traffic collisions (RTCs) which accounted for 30% of their missions. Read more

The social aspect of Caterham, Oxted & Godstone Lions Club has been slightly more to the fore this month. Members enjoyed an informal Fish & Chips Supper Social recently, with a Speaker from Oxted based charity “Clockwork”. These dedicated people are helping youngsters with depression and anxiety problems get through them and have steered some away from trying to take their own lives.
