Caterham Oxted & Godstone’s highlight of the social calendar is their Charter Anniversary Lunch – 45 years this year since they were chartered by Lions Clubs International. A tremendous amount of work went into planning the occasion – the venue was Reigate Manor (which is just below the M25 on Reigate Hill) the menu, the Speakers, the Souvenir Program, the table plan, the flowers….not forgetting the raffle! Hastings Lions Club have made three more successful deliveries recently of Message in a Bottle to local service providers. 100 bottles were delivered to the Arthur Blackman Clinic and a further 100 delivered to the High Glades Medical Practise. 75 bottles were delivered to Mount Pleasant Court sheltered housing where all 60 residents were given a bottle for their own personal use and a further 15 and a display box were put into the main reception area.
