A Gift in Your will Your legacy donation will help our Lions Foundation provide support to those most in need, an opportunity to leave something that will enrich the lives of people in the communities across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, and London South of the Thames. By making a Will you are able to ensure your assets and possessions are left to those you love, friends, and the causes dearest to you. We would be grateful if you would consider us for a donation. If you don’t currently have a Will, we suggest that you use a trusted solicitor to draft one for you. It is important that your financial affairs are cared for as you wish. A solicitor will be able to discuss the various legacy giving options with you and answer any questions you may have. If you would like to update your existing Will to include the Lions International South East England Foundation, your solicitor will be able to help you make the change using a codicil. This is a document that must be witnessed and stored with your current Will. If your solicitor feels your request is complex you may need to consider having your Will redrafted. There are various different legacy options and the majority of supporters generously leave a gift of money to us. Others choose to set up a residuary legacy or even leave a share of their estate. Types of Legacy Gifts Legacies to charity are free of inheritance tax, which means by leaving a charitable legacy you can potentially bring down the tax on your estate. Tax rates and bands can vary; your solicitor will provide a calculation for you. Manage Cookie Preferences
