The Belmont centre Uckfield was the venue for Uckfield and District Lions Prostrate screening and diabetes testing on Saturday 9th March.

For Prostrate screening Lions had previously allocated just over 300 appointments by booking only, these places where quickly taken and further places made available, and again booked, in the end a total of 477 men were tested on the day, with early results showing 17 High levels and 8 amber warnings, with results available online a few days later.

Tests were carried out free of charge (with donations welcome), Lions where delighted to find that donations covered the costs of PCaSO testing (thank you), that has enabled Lions to donate a further £1500 to PCaSo helping them to continue with their fantastic work.

A total of 244 diabetes test where also carried with several high readings with recommendations to the person concerned to contact their GP.
