We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Past International Director Colin Vincent on Saturday, June 24, 2023 after a battle with cancer. He was 88 years old.

He was a member of the Farnham Lions Club in MD105 British Isles since 1971. PID Vincent served as club president from 1975-76, district governor from 1979-80 and international director from 1992 to 1994, chairing the Service Activities Committee of the board in his second year. He went on to serve Lions Clubs International in various ways, including most notably as a group leader for District Governor-Elect Training. He was recognized with 18 International Presidents’ Awards, 45-Year and 50-Year Monarch Chevron, Builder Key, Membership Advancement Key and the Ambassador of Good Will Award.

He remained an active and dedicated member of the Farnham Lions Club, which recognized him with a Melvin Jones Fellowship Award.

In 1978, while serving as a district officer, the plight of the blood research laboratories at Kings College Hospital in London was brought to his attention. He formed the Lions International Blood Research Appeal, which he chaired for nearly 30 years, assisting in many wonderful developments in diagnosing and treating various blood disorders.

He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered. Messages of condolence may be sent to his fellow club member, PID Howard Lee, at [email protected] and will be passed along to his family.
