Libra Updates Visit to King's College Hospital Trustees and supporters from Lions Clubs far and wide enjoyed a special visit to King’s College Hospital this week. Professor Roopen Arya, the Clinical Director for Haematological Medicine and members of his team provided some insightful presentations. Supporters were also given a tour of the wards, taking in the Derek Mitchell Unit, Davidson Ward, Elf & LIBRA Ward and the Waddington Ward. The haematology team were extremely grateful to the following Clubs for presenting donations totalling over £3,500 at the event. A huge thank you to the following clubs: Woolwich and Greenwich Lions, COG's Lions, Dartford Lions Club Whitstable, Herne Bay, Canterbury Lions Club Northfleet and Ebbsfleet Lions Club Southwest Coast Ultra Challenge A team of four amazing supporters successfully completed the South Coast Ultra Challenge from 2 to 3 September 2023, raising over £2,500 for LIBRA. Jack Chambers, his brother Joel, along with friends Tom Steiner and Matt Voyce took part in the 100k adventure. They were inspired to raise funds in memory of their friend Vanessa, who tragically lost her life to Leukaemia in September 2020.
