Volunteers are always active at the heart of their community, so taking the time during Volunteers’ Week to celebrate and recognise their efforts has never been more important.

Rother Voluntary Action invited local charities and good causes to send a "Thank You" to their volunteers to be posted on its social media pages. This is what we said.

"Lions, you invest your time and enthusiasm supporting good causes and those in need. You make a difference, are valued and the essence of our community. Your Kindness Matters. Thank You Bexhill Lions."

We celebrated the start of volunteers week with a belated Easter Fairy Trail (original date was rained off) in St. Mary's Wood on Thursday 1st June. A very appropriate venue, as the wood is owned by local residents and maintained by volunteers.
